Workspace

We recommend a roughly 36-inch surface of desk space to support a 24-inch Monitor. You will also need 1 power outlet to power to your equipment.

Network Speed

In order to run our applications, your network needs to support (and maintain) speeds of 30Mbps down, 10Mbps up, and less than 100ms latency.

Identifying Your Internet Speed

It's best to test this using an ethernet cable connected to your service provider router during your heaviest usage of your network to get the most accurate results.
  • Open a web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari or Microsoft Edge)

  • Go to Speedtest.net.

  • Click "Go" in the middle of the screen, and record your internet speed results.

Internet Router

Your router is a network device, usually provided to you by your internet service provider, with multiple ports (usually four) where you can connect. You’ll need one of those ports to complete your computer internet setup.

Type of Internet Connection

Our systems do not support wi-fi/wireless networks. This is why we provide you with an ethernet cable, as you will need to connect to the internet directly through the router. The ethernet cord we provide is 25 feet long, so please plan to arrange your workspace within that distance from your router. If that is not possible, please look into purchasing a longer network cable prior to your first day of orientation.

Internet Service Provider (ISP)

Internet service providers (ISPs) typically offer various internet plans and packages.  While the minimum required speeds are at least 30 mbps (download) and 10 mbps (upload) to support working in a virtual environment, there are other factors to consider as well, such as:
  • the maximum number of devices that can be connected simultaneously to your router.
  • the ability to access all ports and IP addresses needed to support our virtual workspace.
  • the ability to physically connect a cable between your company-provided equipment and router.

Some internet packages may limit the number of connected or active devices on your home network. Please verify the following with your ISP before your start date:
  • Your internet plan supports working from home.
  • Your internet plan can support an additional two (2) concurrently connected devices on your network.
