Step One: 

Apply to the Customer Service Representative role

When applying, we do ask that you include your resume. Here are some tips on how to craft a resume that stands out. 
  • Make sure your skills are seen, not tucked away. 
  • Keep your name and contact information at the top. 
  • Proofreading your own resume is a must, but don't rely on spell check and grammar check alone—ask family or friends to look at it too.

Step Two: 

Complete our online assessment

This assessment gives us a better understanding of your background and talents. It will take you around 25 minutes to complete. To help set yourself up for success we recommend the following: 
  • 25 minutes of uninterrupted time.
  • A quiet thinking space.
  • Use a laptop or desktop computer.
  • Reliable internet connection. 
  • A calculator.  
  • Chewy.com (opened in another browser).

Step Three: 

Phone interview with a member of our recruiting team

In preparation for your conversation, here are some key details to review. 

Our Business:
Chewy is open 24/7, 365 days a year, which means we need Team Members around the clock to serve our pet parents. All shifts require flexibility and open availability. 


Your Training:
We want to make sure you have the upper paw when it comes to helping pets and their parents. Therefore, we provide three to four weeks of paid training.

Step Four: 

Pre-employment paperwork

You will need to fill out some documents and complete a background check. Our recruiting team will send you instructions and be there to support you if you have questions along the way.

Step Five: 

Prepare for your first day

Our recruiting team will send you several communications to give you a paw-up for your first day. You can expect to receive information about the training, dress code and documents needed so you can get paid. If by chance there is anything we don't cover, we have members of our recruiting team available to answer your questions.
